How to: Change the color of the walls in a 3-D chart.
Solution:
Select the chart and click on either of the 2 walls. Select the 'Format' menu and select 'Selected Walls...'. Select the desired wall colors.
To change the wall color of the 3-D chart:
1) Double-click on the chart.
NOTE: If the chart is on a separate chart sheet in Excel, click the tab for the chart sheet.
2) Click on either of the two walls of the 3-D chart.
3) Select the 'Format' menu and select 'Selected Walls...'. (The Format Walls dialog box appears.)

NOTE: By default, the walls appear as two white boxes behind data markers.
4) Select the desired color for the walls from the 'Color' palette of the 'Area' group.
5) Click 'OK'.
